So after weeks and weeks of people asking me why I haven’t written anything in my blog, I have finally taken the iniative to say that today is the day!
Ok so there’s a lot to talk about… ummm… So ill start with the boring stuff…
I moved to Melbourne about 1yr ago in hope to better my career in the media industry. Whilst in Perth I worked for a program provider for (channel 31 Perth) CTV Perth INC There I was involved in program development and also presenting. I came here to Melbourne thinking that it would be as simple as looking in the newspaper for these ”super cool” media jobs, but then after a couple of months I was about to pack my bags and head home. So instead, I started looking up short courses around Melbourne as I wanted to refresh my technical skills, it had been two years since I finished my bachelors in media studies at Murdoch University so I was a little stale. But anyway, I was looking up RMIT website when I found that they short courses in documentary making, which I had and still do have a passion for. I rang the number that was provided and spoke to a man who said that no one was interested in the doco course, so it had been caned. He then told me of the master of media production program and so that’s what got me here. So here we are….

Here are the things that I want from the course:
I want a show reel that will impress out in the workforce
I want to increase my skills, in the way of the technical and also production processes
I want to establish great relations with people in my course as I know one day they will be my colleagues out in the workforce
I want the course to better my chances of finding work
